Hi everyone! I stopped by my Hobby Lobby last week and could not pass up this fabric I found so I’m here to share it with you. Watch my video for a closer look, first part is an outfit of the day, haul begins at 4:09 if you want to by-pass the outfit. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel as well as my blog to find out what I make with it.

Bookmark attempt number 2 – fabric
Hi everyone. Ok, my first attempt that I shared with you sorta didn’t turn out as I had hoped. I will try it again but this time I will not go Mod Podge crazy. I had too much and didn’t allow enough drying time in between the two sides… my bookmark stuck to my craft tray in a couple of places and tore the paper.
So I decided to try out another tutorial I had found using my sewing machine. Tutorial found here. You do have to use Mod Podge. I did use a light coat and allowed to dry completely. My measurements are a little different. I was using a piece of scrap material I had and I apparently can not cut a straight line when using a rotary blade… go figure. So mine is a bit smaller and I didn’t play around with personalizing. I did try one attempt, not the look I was going for, haha. I am able to use fonts and a few fancy stitching options with my machine but I really haven’t played with the settings to get the right tension and such to make it look right. I will make a few more after I play around with those features.
I also used my Crop-a-dile to place an eyelet in for my ribbon instead of sewing the ribbon in. So here is a look at bookmark number 2:
